Job Purpose:
OMS provide innovative end to end Supply Chain solutions to customers, including logistics services from origins to destinations via a tactical solution based on following activities:
Provider of Choice – delivering to customers:
* Daily Service Co-ordination of Customer operations
* Purchase Order Management & Freight Management Solutions
* Supplier Management
* Providing quotations
* Forecasting, Allocation & Carrier Management
* Document Management
* Customs clearance
* Transport Management Services & Data Quality
* Supply chain visibility at order, product, shipment, and SKU levels via tracking system interfaced with customer's system
* Market Insights, Sustainability Solutions, and Risk Management plans
* Freight Forwarding
Key Activities
* First point contact for all operational issues and customer queries
* On time and accurate bookings of collections through freight forwarders using the correct mode of shipment in line with the customer requirements
* Training and liaising with suppliers to ensure supplier compliance in line with the customer rules
* Analysing data to recognise trends and improvements
* Work in line with the SOP to ensure service levels to the customer are upheld
* Maintain and develop close working relationships with key stakeholders
* Resolve issues, analysis, and recurrence prevention
* Provide accurate detail to the end destinations via exceptions, system updates and emails and dealing with queries in a timely manner.
* When required provide spot rates to customers, finding the most cost effective mode of transport and haulier
Job Process:
Duties will include the following key activities:
* Completion of daily tasks in accordance with the agreed customer service proposition (Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
* Management of reporting/dashboards to ensure performance measurement to agreed service levels
* Coordination of internal and external stakeholders required to deliver the agreed service proposition – Customer, Account Manager, DHL Stations, DHL Control Towers etc
* Manage risks within the supply chain and escalate t internal and external stakeholders when service levels are not achieved
* Support the Supply Chain Manager (line manager) in achieving overall department objectives
* Cross train with other Supply Chain Coordinators to provide support to other SCC’s during peak periods and periods of absence
* Own and maintain the Standard Operating Procedure documentation between DHL and our customers
* Undertake DHL Global Forwarding personal development courses / trainings as required to enable this role to be a viable candidate for future Supply Chain Team Leader positions
* Deliver Continuous Improvement projects and services to the customer that enable DHL to retain and grow our proposition with the customers
* Support the Supply Chain Manager (line manager) in achieving overall department objectives
Specific Technical Requirements:
* Freight Forwarding Experience (preferred)
* Good customer service and communication skills
* Strong organisational & workload prioritisation skills
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to investigate issues until resolved
* Excel – good level of knowledge is preferred.
* Ability to understand new technology systems quickly - e.g. INFOR Nexus and Cargowise1

* Commercial – ability to develop ways of working that support improving the Commercial outcomes of the service offered to the customers
Qualifications:
* British International Freight Association - qualifications in Freight Forwarding are preferred
* Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport – qualifications in Supply Chain Management are preferred
* Comprehensive training will be provided to successful candidates as part of the Induction
Other Information:
* Potential (occasional) requirement to work UK National Holidays in line with customer requirements
* Occasional Travel to customer sites/DGF offices if required
