We are currently recruiting on behalf of our clients based in Burton-in-Kendal, who are recruiting for a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk on a temporary basis. This is a full-time position, and to be successful you will need to have experience in a similar role. This requirement is set to last around 6 weeks, and you will need to be available immediately.
Typical duties include:
* Overseeing and supporting the Purchase Ledger function
* Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
* Managing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving queries
* Preparing and processing supplier payment runs
* Supporting month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations
* Assisting with VAT return preparation
* Providing guidance and support to junior team members
* Performing any other ad-hoc tasks for the wider finance team
You will have:
* Previous experience in a similar role
* AAT Level 4 qualification
* Proven experience using Xero Accounting software
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
