We are now looking for a Welder to join one of our established maritime clients based in Portsmouth.
We are seeking a skilled Welder to support steel fabrication and welding works on a split barge project.
Key Responsibilities of the Welder/Fabricator:
MIG and MAG welding on steel components
Welding steel plate (various thicknesses) to a high standard
Reading and interpreting basic engineering drawings and instructions
Plate burning using Ox y-Propane equipment
Use of general workshop equipment including guillotine, steel workers, grinders, and basic hand tools
Requirements of the Welder/Fabricator:
Proven experience in MIG & MAG welding on steel
Able to support installation, repairs, and general fabrication tasks
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to work occasional weekends and short stints away from home if required
