HGV Technician Croydon Our client, a prestigious Truck and Bus manufacturer and dealer, is seeking for a HGV Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair trucks to the highest standards. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge vehicle technology in a modern, well-equipped workshop. Role: HGV Technician Hours: Various shift patterns Location: Croydon Key Responsibilities: * Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures, safely and responsibly * Assist in the fault diagnosis process * Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and warranty material on completion of each repair * Work with the Parts Team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fitted * Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV licence) * Assist with roadside breakdowns * Ensure company time recording procedures are complied with, and that job cards are completed accurately * Ensure all vehicle defects are reported to workshop controllers * Keep all workshop facilities, equipment and tools clean, tidy and well maintained * Wear personal protective equipment when appropriate * Support the development of young trainees and apprentices Requirements: * practical competency when it comes to the repair and maintenance of HGVs, * must be able to effectively communicate at all levels on a written and verbal basis * adapt to new processes and develop new skills when required * participate in training and development activities. * be an active member of our busy team, while being competent enough to develop new working processes, or to enhance current ones * City and Guilds, an NVQ3 or an equivalent qualification * A basic knowledge of computer software packages including Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred Benefits: * Generous Pension Plan * Health cash plan = access to dental insurance * Ignition, our electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme * 25 days holiday bank holidays raising to 30 days with service * Extended maternity/paternity and adoption leave * Employee savings and retail discounts * Cycle to work scheme * Career development opportunities, along with training plans managed through our inhouse Technical training team. * Support for you and your family through an online Wellbeing centre hgvtechnician shifthgvtechnician trucktechnician truckmechanic
