Overview
A key client of ours is embarking on a major transformation programme to bring a range of business services in-house and establish sustainable, high-performing operations. The initiative will involve implementing a new operating model, technology platforms, and support functions to deliver effective and continuously improving services across the organisation.
Role Purpose
The Implementation Director will provide overall leadership and accountability for the successful delivery of the transformation and implementation programme. The postholder will oversee all operational, technical, people, commercial, and governance aspects of delivery, ensuring that outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. This role will require strong collaboration across internal teams and external partners to ensure a seamless and effective transition to the new service model.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the overall implementation programme, ensuring successful delivery of all elements and timely transition of services into live operation.
* Develop and maintain a realistic and achievable implementation plan with input from all relevant stakeholders.
* Oversee execution of the plan to ensure delivery to time, cost, and quality expectations.
* Manage programme interdependencies, ensuring that all stakeholders are aware of their responsibilities and that risks are proactively mitigated.
* Establish and maintain effective risk, issue, and dependency management processes, including regular reviews and escalations where required.
* Define and embed clear governance and ways of working across all delivery teams and partners, ensuring alignment and accountability.
* Monitor and track programme expenditure, including forecasting and variance reporting against agreed budgets.
* Ensure the implemented solution meets all necessary technical, security, and assurance standards.
* Oversee change control processes, ensuring timely and well-informed impact assessments and decisions.
* Provide effective leadership and line management to programme staff and workstream leads, fostering collaboration and high performance.
