New Directions are currently recruiting for experienced LSA’s with knowledge or prior work in the ALN sector to work In and around the Pontypridd area.
we want candidates who feel confident working with a range of different needs in a quick changing environment, in a calm and compassionate manner.
This exciting role will bring opportunity for long term roles and flexible working. The successful candidate will work with Teachers and ALN co-ordinators to support children with a range of needs, helping to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
Job Specification

To work in an Additional Learning Needs (ALN) role you will need:
1. A relevant teaching qualification
2. Ideally experience working in an ALN environment
3. Recent experience in a classroom environment
4. An excellent track record
5. Good knowledge of the national curriculum
6. Strong interpersonal and people management skills
7. Flexibility and adaptability to work short-term and long-term.
We are always looking for candidates who have particular experience in working with children classified as having:
8. Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
9. Dyslexia
10. Dyspraxia
11. Multi-Sensory Impairment (MSI)
12. Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
13. Profound and Moderate Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
14. Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH)
15. Severe Learning Difficulties
16. Physical Disabilities (PD).
You will need:

20. Capability to monitor behavioural needs and support pupils with low self-esteem
