Behaviour & SEMH Support Assistant – L40 (Burscough Primary Schools) Teaching Personnel are looking for a confident, calm and resilient Behaviour & SEMH Support Assistant to work within a primary school in the L40 (Burscough) area. This role is focused on supporting pupils who struggle with emotional regulation, social interaction, behaviour challenges and low confidence. Alongside SEMH support, you will also work closely with pupils who have additional learning needs such as ASC, ADHD, communication differences or attachment needs. SEN familiarity is essential as many pupils require structure, patience, consistency and strategies tailored to their individual needs. Key Responsibilities: Providing 1:1 and small‑group behaviour and SEMH interventions Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and positive routines Using de‑escalation strategies and restorative approaches Helping pupils build resilience, confidence and coping skills Liaising with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral leads Maintaining a calm, consistent and reassuring approach Pay: £13.75–£14.50 per hour (PAYE) Requirements: Experience supporting SEMH, behaviour or pastoral needs Strong awareness of SEN needs and triggers Confident with de‑escalation and relationship‑based support Calm, patient and emotionally resilient Must have a CV and relevant experience Applications without a CV will not be considered For more information, contact Morgan – All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
