We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with the menu and reside preferences
Oversee kitchen staff and delegate tasks to ensure efficient meal preparation
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing dishes
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary
Ensure all food is presented beautifully and served at the correct temperature
Assist in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices
Experience
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a care home setting
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on meal preparation and presentation
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen
Previous experience in managing kitchen operations is advantageous but not essential
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
