Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our team on a long-term basis, to cover a maternity post. The successful candidate will have experience teaching in KS1, with a focus on Year 1. This role requires strong classroom management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality education to our students.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, preferably in Year 1
* Strong classroom management skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to create engaging and differentiated lessons
* Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all learners
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and respectful learning environment
* Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students, parents, and colleagues
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans and assessment strategies
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required
* Uphold school policies and procedures, including behaviour management and safeguarding protocols
