Join Our Team as a Used Car Manager at Marriott Motor Group!
Are you a motivated and experienced professional in the used car market?
Marriott Motor Group is expanding our Used Car department, and we are looking for a dynamic Used Car Manager to lead our strategy and operations in Kings Lynn for Volkswagen, Audi, and Skoda. This role is based in Kings Lynn Volkswagen, with the flexibility of hybrid working.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilise your extensive knowledge of car specifications across various manufacturers to acquire the best vehicles at the best prices from auctions, fleet sales, finance companies, rental companies, and dealer groups.
2. Work closely with Franchise Managers and Preparation teams to ensure all used vehicles are online and imaged within the agreed timeframe.
3. Collaborate with buying and pricing team members to maximize data use and stay ahead of auction trends.
4. Ensure purchased vehicles meet our strict specifications, maintain low return rates, and align refurbishment costs with the budget.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Identify new opportunities to enhance our purchasing model and approach.
* Manage the mix and specification of used products based on sales trends and local market intelligence.
* Ensure the right product is at the right site at the right time with a hands-on approach.
* Implement a demand-led strategy across all vehicle segments to maximize sales opportunities.
* Proactively manage the visibility and marketing of used cars across all sales channels.
* Oversee disposal policies and ensure compliance across the division.
* Serve as the main point of contact for all used car activities and engagement.
* Regularly communicate and interact with other departments to foster business growth and team ethos.
* Exhibit agility in using systems and responding swiftly to market changes to maintain competitiveness and meet customer demands.
