Senior Project Engineer Ashby-de-la-Zouch Would you like to play a key role in delivering Station Information and Security Systems (SISS) and wider telecoms engineering across rail projects? Hybrid working with flexible start & finish times 12pm finish on a Friday What will you be doing? Your work will span the full lifecycle, including: Producing specifications, designs, drawings and supporting documentation Leading technical interfaces and working closely with clients and external engineering teams Carrying out site activities, including surveys, testing and commissioning Reviewing technical standards and ensuring compliance with rail, CDM and QHSE requirements Investigating site issues and implementing corrective actions Preparing clear written communications for both internal and external audiences Supporting the wider project team to make sure design, construction, testing and commercial targets are met Where you'll be doing it You'll join a rail systems team delivering control, SCADA, BMS, SISS and telecoms solutions across a range of UK rail projects. The work is varied, technical and hands-on, with plenty of collaboration across engineering disciplines. What you'll need Rail industry experience, ideally involving SISS, SCADA or control systems Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients Ability to read drawings, interpret designs and produce clear documentation Good understanding of BS, ISO, Network Rail and CDM standards Experience with MS Office and engineering tools such as CAD and Visio Able to work independently, manage your own workload and resolve technical issues An engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) or equivalent experience We appreciate your CV may not be up to date.
