Hays are working with a leading facilities management organisation supporting critical UK infrastructure, and we are looking to appoint an experienced Mobile Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to join their team in Catterick.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a varied and impactful role, working across a key estate where safety, compliance, and service delivery are paramount.
?? The RoleAs a Mobile M&E Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and ensuring compliance across multiple sites. You will play a key role in maintaining safe systems of work and supporting operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring compliance with Safe Systems of Work (including JSP375)
* Producing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
* Providing technical support to site teams, stakeholders, and supply chain partners
* Supervising and assessing skilled personnel
* Supporting project delivery and identifying improvement opportunities
* Advising on estate safety, compliance, and operational best practice
* Building strong working relationships across teams and stakeholders
You will also contribute to initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and supporting sustainability targets.
? What We're Looking ForTo be successful in this role, you will have:
* A recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Strong experience working with Safe Systems of Work (JSP375 desirable)
* Proven experience supervising site operations and leading teams
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
* The ability to work independently across multiple locations
* A full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential):
* Authorised Person (AP) tickets (training can be provided)
Please note: You will be required to obtain and maintain SC Clearance.
