Guildford (UK), Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite. The Global Events Security Manager will report to the Senior Manager for Global Events.
Responsibilities
* Lead end‑to‑end security planning for large‑scale company events.
* Conduct comprehensive risk reviews and threat assessments.
* Develop written security plans, SOPs, post orders, and incident playbooks.
* Create incident response frameworks, escalation procedures and emergency communication standards.
* Deliver daily operational briefings and summaries.
* Manage guard force operations, including vendor evaluation and selection.
* Design and implement event security strategies and risk mitigation plans.
* Support Regional Senior Managers in building regional events.
* Ensure agreement on regional regulations and cultural considerations.
* Communicate with venue security contacts, local law‑enforcement and emergency response personnel.
* Conduct risk assessments for planned events and define mitigation strategies.
* Embed security as an enabler in event planning.
* Align security and the event experience by acting as the central liaison between key partners.
* Manage contractor/3rd‑party security vendors, risk management and insurance processes.
* Navigate global risk, compliance, and regulatory environments.
* Produce post‑event after‑action reports, measurements and lessons learned.
* Provide comprehensive security briefings to internal and external partners.
* Travel internationally to support global events; expected travel 50% of the time.
Qualifications
* 7+ years in a similar role with a federal, state or local law‑enforcement agency or multinational corporation.
* 4+ years of experience leading teams for special events.
* Background in risk management, compliance and event security planning.
* Experience managing contracted and 3rd‑party security personnel.
* Strategic leadership skills with operational execution and risk assessment capability.
* International experience working across diverse regions.
* Proficiency in other languages.
