Job Description Job Title : Technical Support Manager – Neptune – Submarines Working Pattern : Full time Working location: Derby (Raynesway) What you will be doing: We have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Support Manager to join our Submarines business based on Raynesway, Derby to support all aspects of operations from a: Nuclear, Conventional, Radiological and Environmental perspective. The role covers a product test facility and radioactive examination facility. Responsibilities: With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following: Enforce Company Health, Safety and Environment policy. Hold appointment as the Deputy Safety Case Owner. Manage change control systems, ensuring that all licensed site requirements are met. Lead major product and facility change, whilst all the while ensuring we maintain our current safety baseline. Continuously improve all aspects of safety performance. Act as the deputy to the line manager when required. Lead and empower a cross functional team to achieve the overall objectives and mutual achievement of common goals to deliver products / services committed to the customer at the right time, cost, quality and responsiveness to support their plans. Creates the environment for continuous improvement with the emphasis on sharing and searching for best practice. To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria: Must have experience of working on a Nuclear Licensed site, in a safety, projects or manufacturing role. experience dealing with safety concerns and delivering major improvements. Company wide outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working. led transformation projects and is familiar with continuous improvement methodologies such as six sigma and lean (Black Belt accreditation desirable but not essential). Ideally, but not essential, management experience in a high technology engineering industry. Please be aware that the priority will be given to employees identified as being at high risk.
