Overview
Learning Support Assistant with Midday Duties (Contract: Permanent). LSA hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am – 12:00 noon and 1:30pm – 3:15pm (31.25 hours per week). MDA hours: Monday to Friday 12:00 noon – 1:00pm (5 hours per week). 38 weeks per year (term time only). Salary LSA: £18,026.78 – £18,565.45 pa depending upon experience. Salary MDA: £2,795.56 – £2,878.58 pa depending upon experience.
We are seeking a friendly, energetic and experienced Learning Support Assistant with Midday Assistant duties. We are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of ASD / SEMH / SpLD to join our professional team.
Responsibilities
* Take some responsibility for the progress of your pupil.
* Help to organise the classroom to create a positive learning environment.
* Work with others to plan and coordinate work.
* Take part in school events and activities.
* Work alongside outside agencies.
* Remain calm and professional when working with children with challenging behaviours.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Conscientious, patient and enthusiastic at all times and able to build rapport with children, creating a safe teaching environment.
* Positive and motivational with strong communication skills.
* Experience of working one-to-one with children.
