Responsibilities: We provide 2nd- and 3rd-line support for global IT systems and applications. We maintain a comprehensive understanding of the full IT environment and guide stakeholders across the service landscape. We drive root-cause analysis and implement long-term corrective and preventative solutions. We manage and optimise Windows Server environments, including physical and virtual servers, Active Directory, backups, patching, and PKI services. We ensure adherence to compliance requirements and promote industry best practices, including ICAO, eIDAS, and ISO27001. We plan, test, document, approve, and review changes, including rollback and mitigation plans. We automate operational tasks and improve system efficiency through scripting. We support disaster recovery and failover testing activities. We work with internal teams and external suppliers to support global technical operations. We maintain high-quality technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles. We mentor junior engineers and encourage the adoption of best-practice standards. We use and maintain tools for remote support, asset management, and service management. We participate in an on-call support rotation and provide support during international deployments, training, and system implementations.
