You will own the security architecture strategy for the Home Office Networks and Infrastructure portfolio, turning strategic risks and legislation into reusable security architecture patterns.
Acting as security escalation point, you will scrutinise the department’s highest value, highest risk projects, ranging from cloud-native microservices to border control IoT systems, approving only those that meet our principles for confidentiality, integrity, availability and safety.
You will chair architecture review and cyber risk boards, you will ensure SIEM detection requirements are embedded in reference designs and ensure continuous assurance metrics are defined and implemented.
Your thought leadership will drive research into Networks and Infrastructure security service, validating emerging techniques through pilots and codifying successful approaches into departmental standards.
Externally, you will represent the Home Office at industry working groups. Internally, you may line manage other SecurityArchitects, set professional development paths, and oversee recruitment to build a diverse, high performing team.
By embedding Secure by Design culture and futureproof patterns, you will enable rapid digital transformation while safeguarding public trust.
