Location: Newry
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: 4-Day Working Week

The Role
We are recruiting for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
7. Support warehouse, distribution and stock control operations.
8. Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
9. Assist with planning work schedules and allocating tasks to warehouse staff.
10. Help ensure operational costs are managed effectively.
11. Produce operational reports as required.
12. Support employee training and development.
13. Maintain fleet operations in line with legal and company requirements.
14. Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety.
15. Assist with recruitment, absence management and performance management processes.
16. Drive excellent customer service and continuous improvement initiatives.
17. Motivate and support the warehouse team to achieve operational targets.
Essential Criteria
18. Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar warehouse supervisory or management role.
19. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
20. Experience leading and developing teams.
21. Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
22. Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
23. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
24. Knowledge of health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment.
25. Full UK driving licence.
26. Flexibility to travel between sites when required.
Desirable Criteria
27. Experience using ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
28. Experience in logistics and transport planning.
29. Forklift licences (Counterbalance and Reach).
