Rental Agent PT - Solihull
Primary Purpose of the Role
Reporting to Rental Team Leader and Group Rental Manager, the primary purpose of the role will be to support the Rental Team Leader on the smooth run of the day-to-day operation of the Rent-A-Car department. You will be responsible for the growth and profitability of the department through the development of sales to both retail and local corporate customers, whilst ensuring you deliver excellent customer service. To promote the Rent-A-Car brand & (retailer name) locally.
Main Responsibilities
1. To support the rental team leader in overseeing the smooth running of the rental desk;
2. Ensure all reservations, bookings and enquiries are handled promptly and efficiently;
3. To meet and exceed customer requirements;
4. Help check in and check out vehicles as and when required
5. To help with deliveries and collections of vehicles
6. Ensure all service level agreements are met;
7. Manage damage process;
8. Vehicle status management/weekly audit of vehicles;
9. Accurate record keeping especially insurance records;
10. Administration of maintenance on all vehicles;
11. Timely reporting of damage/accident notifications to VWFS and action repairs in conjunction with relevant insurer;
12. Ensure strict adherence to all the terms, conditions and standards of the VWFS Rent-A-Car programme;
13. Any other tasks required, as commensurate with the role;
14. To maintain personal awareness of the company quality policies and procedures and at all times comply with the general and company procedures described within the relevant operational manuals.
Education, Training and Experience
15. Experience of working to service levels and quality measures
16. Experience of rental operating systems, desirable
17. Must hold a full clean UK driving licence

19. Ability to acquire and put into practice new knowledge and skills, developed through on the job training
