Behaviour Support Assiatnt Location: Ickenham Contract: Full-Time Start Date: ASAP We are recruiting an experienced and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN setting supporting children and young people aged 4–19 with complex learning needs. Pupils may present with Autism, learning disabilities, sensory needs, and associated social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. This role is suited to someone with proven SEN experience who can provide consistent, structured behaviour support in a calm and nurturing environment. About the Role As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will: * Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support throughout the school day * Implement positive behaviour support strategies, emotional regulation techniques, and de-escalation approaches * Support pupils to access learning, routines, and social interactions * Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists to ensure consistent behaviour approaches * Contribute to behaviour plans, risk assessments, and individual support strategies * Promote independence, social understanding, and emotional wellbeing * Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment What We’re Looking For * Relevant SEN experience is essential, particularly supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, or complex behavioural needs * A calm, patient, and resilient approach * Strong communication and relationship-building skills * Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team * Confident supporting pupils who may display distressed or challenging behaviour * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential) What’s on Offer * Supportive SEN-focused leadership and staff team * Ongoing training and professional development * A rewarding role supporting vulnerable pupils to thrive * Immediate availability
