Sales and Events Manager (Part-Time – 24 hours per week) One of the most elegant country house hotels in the Cotswolds, Buckland Manor is set in ten acres of stunning grounds. With 4 AA red stars, 3 AA rosettes, and a member of Relais & Châteaux, Buckland Manor offers employees the opportunity to work within a traditional, yet friendly English country house hotel. We are now seeking a passionate and commercially minded Sales and Events Manager to help drive new business and grow revenue for our beautiful hotel. As Sales and Events Manager, you will be responsible for proactively generating new business and developing existing relationships across corporate, leisure, meetings, events, and private dining. Working closely with the General Manager and wider leadership team, you will help position Buckland Manor as a destination of choice in the Cotswold and beyond. This is a part-time role (24 hours per week), offering flexibility while giving you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the hotel’s commercial performance. About Buckland Manor Experience At the heart of the hotel is our celebrated 3 AA Rosette Restaurant, offering refined seasonal dining with spectacular views over our gardens. Alongside this sits our relaxed and vibrant Lounges, our elegant terrace for alfresco dining, and a range of private spaces ideal for events, celebrations, and meetings. Your role will be to showcase all that we offer, creating compelling reasons for guests, businesses, and event planners to choose Buckland Manor. Key Responsibilities Proactively drive new business across accommodation, meetings & events, private dining, and leisure segments. Build and nurture strong relationships with local businesses, agents, and partners Identify new market opportunities and develop targeted sales initiatives Manage enquiries from initial contact through to conversion with the assistance of the Deputy and Reception Manager. Represent the hotel at networking events, site visits, and familiarisation trips Work closely with operational teams to ensure a seamless guest journey Maintain accurate records and reporting of sales activity and performance Be a proud ambassador for Buckland Manor and the Brownsword brand What We’re Looking For Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales (or a strong commercial background with transferable skills) A confident communicator who enjoys building relationships Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven A collaborative team player who embraces our “one team” culture Flexible approach to working hours to suit business needs Bonus Management Bonus Scheme All Heads of Department and management roles are eligible for our bonus scheme – full details will be shared at interview. SERVICE CHARGE-We pay our team service charge each month! This service charge all goes into one pot, and 100% of that service charge is then shared amongst all the team at the hotel-every penny received is paid out to the team. Service charge can be in the region of £305 a month (around £3,600 per year) over and above base pay, for a full time employee.
