Role Overview
Are you positive, proactive, hardworking and self‑motivated looking for a professionally challenging, yet exciting role with the potential for supported personal development and career progression? MKUH Care Unit wants to meet you as an expert critical care practitioner to join our nursing leadership team as a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse and share your skills with ours.
We are a 10 bedded Intensive Care Unit that has recently been refurbished in a University Teaching Hospital managing emergency, elective and paediatric patients from across the region. We are proud to be the home of ICUSteps and hold the principles of holistic care and multidisciplinary rehabilitation at the centre of everything we do.
We will provide a tailored education strategy to complete National Step 4 Competency Framework, access assessor and supervisor training, clinical, teaching and leadership opportunities across the Trust. We provide full support to undertake Level 7 MSc pathways to help individuals to gain the knowledge and skills to become the senior critical care leaders and managers of the future.
