The Opportunity
The Compliance Business Partner is a key role helping to maintain a high-quality service to all of the Business Units in the UK. This role will support the Compliance Business Manager in ensuring that the business is adhering to legal and regulatory requirements to provide good client outcomes.

* The role involves carrying out a set number of file audits each month to ensure compliance with key regulatory standards.
* You will be responsible for identifying areas of concern highlighted by the file audits and ensuring that appropriate actions and training requirements are communicated to both individuals and Management. This may include assisting in the delivery of training as needed. You will also oversee the day-to-day operational implementation of risk and compliance processes to ensure positive customer outcomes and adherence to regulatory standards.
* The position requires assisting with the handling of complaints received by the business, ensuring they are managed in line with regulatory, internal, and insurer requirements.
* Additionally, you will be involved in signing off customer documentation and supporting the Compliance Business Manager with tasks related to Product Governance and Consumer Duty requirements, helping guide the business through these processes.
* Preparation of reports and communications for governance forums and Group Compliance will also form part of your responsibilities.
* You will support projects connected to FCA thematic reviews and be responsible for identifying, reporting, and escalating regulatory breaches, loss events, and systemic issues. This includes ensuring that suitable remedial and preventive actions are implemented.
* The role may also involve undertaking projects and providing specialist input into wider business initiatives as required.
* Maintaining and updating compliance logs and registers, such as Complaints, Product Registers, and Gifts & Entertainment logs, will be a key aspect of the role.
* You will issue regular reminders to the business regarding Gifts & Entertainment and Conflicts of Interest, while ensuring accurate records of compliance activities and related documentation are kept.
