Job Title: Finance Analyst Reporting To: UKI Head of Business Control Department: Business Control Location: Newcastle Overall, Purpose: The Finance Analyst role is a key member of the UKI Hubexo Business Control team, helping to support the Head of Finance in their Business partnering function. You will prepare weekly and monthly reports, ensure accuracy of data and assist in preparation of Commercial Reviews, Forecasts and Budgets. In addition, you will be a key contact point for the business supporting them with ad-hoc information and insights. Principal Job Responsibilities: Management reporting – Produce timely and accurate trading updates, monthly Business Review packs and Business KPIs Calculation of monthly commissions for accruals and ready for reviews with VPs Assist in Budget and Forecast preparation Monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reviews ensuring accuracy and rigor. Maintaining the commercial and finance retention trackers Respond and communicate with business stakeholders on routine finance queries Ad-hoc analysis and assistance to the Head of Finance Qualifications & Experience Demonstratable experience in a similar analyst role Have worked in a B2B services company ideally a SaaS business model but not essential Experience of working with a wide range of Business Stakeholders Intermediate Excel Skills Has started an accounting qualification and passed foundation exams NetSuite experience preferred but not essential Skills & Attributes Hard Skills Accounting Principles – Strong understanding of accounting standards and able to interpret profit and loss statements Data Analysis – ability to collect, analyse and interpret financial data to assist decision making Attention to detail – spot trends, patterns, errors and a self-checker by nature Variance analysis – compare actuals financial results to budget and drive to the route cause IT literacy – experience in using a full suite of Microsoft office software and web-based CRM & ERP systems Soft Skills Ownership & Accountability – you do what you say you’re going to do and own outcomes Initiative – you don’t wait to be told what to do or how to solve a problem, developing your own solutions to challenges is essential for success Communication and collaboration – working in part of the wider business team you should listen and respond thoughtfully to stakeholders, and be willing to learn from other parts of the business Resilience – able to adapt to changing circumstances and identify solutions to issues Critical thinking – take a holistic approach to your work, ensuring that outputs make sense in the wider business context MISSION & VISION Mission; By using our unique data, insights and software solutions, our customers in the construction industry will sell more, improve efficiency and build more sustainability combining our research expertise, industry knowledge and artificial intelligence.
