Overview
Are you a specialist pharmacist with a passion for women’s and children’s services? We invite you to join our forward‑thinking pharmacy team at MKUH, where we continue to grow in size and influence. Recent enhancements include a refurbishment, a Pharmacy Robot, a new Pharmacy and Aseptic Unit in the Cancer Centre, and a new Outpatient Pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care within your chosen area of expertise.
* Provide ward‑based clinical pharmacy services within women’s services and paediatrics.
* Offer clinical support to the dispensary.
* Support and supervise junior staff.
* Undertake quality improvement and audit work.
* Advocate for medicines optimisation and safety initiatives at the ward level.
* Collaborate with the Principal Pharmacist to address medicines‑related issues affecting women’s and children’s services.
* Support the delivery, development, and evaluation of pharmaceutical services across the hospital.
* Help divisions optimise medicines use within available resources.
Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Standard hours consist of four long days (8:00 am – 6:30 pm) per week, with coverage on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays on a rota basis.
After induction and training you will contribute to the pharmacy out‑of‑hours service.
