Job Description: The hourly rate for this role is £12.60 and up to £14.13 across selected locations within London. The hourly rate will increase after 6 months in role. No previous experience is required, and full training will be provided.
About the opportunity: As a Trainee Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team supporting the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services. You will complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2) while building relationships with patients, greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, and providing health advice.
This role is based in-store within the UK. Remote applicants will not be considered, and applications from outside the UK will only be considered if relevant UK qualifications and right to work can be confirmed.
Key responsibilities:
1. Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
2. Dispense prescriptions safely, including ordering medicines, labelling, endorsing, and collection.
3. Assist in managing and delivering pharmacy services with healthcare professionals.
4. Provide advice about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist when needed.
5. Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
6. Stay updated with new store innovations and operational processes.
7. Support patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines to promote adherence and reduce waste.
8. Work with new systems to improve dispensing processes, enhancing patient safety and freeing up time for patient interactions.
You will receive regular training to develop healthcare knowledge and have opportunities for career progression, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or store leader.
Requirements:
* Desire to learn and complete the NVQ2 Dispenser training program.
* Valid UK right to work (no sponsorship available).
