The school puts therapy at the centre of everything. It goes beyond what’s required in a child’s EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
* Therapy is integrated into the entire school day
* It supports learning, behaviour, social skills, and emotional development
* Each child gets a highly individualised plan
How therapy is delivered
* 1:1 support during lessons
* Small group sessions (e.g. social skills, language, motor skills)
* Co-teaching alongside teachers
* Whole-class support
Outside the classroom
* Support during lunch and playtime
* Help on community outings (shops, transport, etc.)
* Targeted sessions for things like:
* Speech sounds
* Sensory needs
* Emotional regulation
Therapy follows an ongoing cycle:
* Assessment
* Planning
* Implementation
* Evaluation
What this means in practice:
* New pupils are assessed in their first term
* Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are created and shared with parents
* Progress is constantly reviewed and updated
* Annual reviews may adjust the EHCP
