Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
* Work closely with teaching staff, parents, external agencies, and senior leadership teams
* Develop and review EHCPs and support plans
* Monitor student progress and implement effective intervention strategies
* Ensure the school remains compliant with SEND legislation and policies
* Support teachers with strategies to enhance inclusive learning environments
* Always promote safeguarding and student wellbeing
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it)
* Previous SENCO or SEND experience within a school setting
* Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
