Overview

We're looking for a Level 1 Air Tightness Tester to join the UK's largest building compliance team. In this role, you'll work on domestic dwelling projects across Newcastle and nearby regions, ensuring compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations 2021.

Responsibilities
As a Level 1 Air Tightness Tester, you will:
Conduct air tightness tests on domestic dwellings in line with regulatory standards across Newcastle.
Perform site inspections to identify and address potential air leakage issues in the Newcastle region.
Review architectural drawings and provide design recommendations to improve air tightness in projects around Newcastle and Surrounding Areas.
Offer consultancy services to reduce construction risks and enhance energy efficiency.
Prepare detailed test reports, including recommendations for remedial actions, supporting projects in Newcastle.
Collaborate with clients and project teams to meet air tightness targets effectively across Newcastle and nearby areas.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you'll need:
A Level 1 Air Tightness Tester certification (or equivalent).
A solid understanding of Part L of the Building Regulations 2021.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Strong time management and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
A valid UK driving licence, as travel across Newcastle and surrounding areas is required.
Day-to-Day
Your typical day will include:
Traveling to various sites across Newcastle and nearby regions to conduct air tightness tests.
Collaborating with contractors and project teams in the Newcastle area to ensure smooth test execution.
Using tools like smoke testing to identify air leakage and provide on-the-spot advice.
Preparing and submitting detailed test reports to clients and regulatory bodies, aiding projects in Newcastle and Surrounding Areas.
Playing a hands-on role in improving the energy efficiency of new builds in Newcastle.
