About the Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading the Science department and overseeing the delivery of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across KS3 & KS4, with the potential for KS5 teaching depending on specialism.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and developing the Science department
* Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
* Monitoring student progress and supporting strong academic outcomes
* Supporting and mentoring teaching staff within the department
* Overseeing curriculum planning and departmental development
* Ensuring students are effectively prepared for GCSE examinations
You will also maintain a teaching timetable and model high-quality classroom practice.

The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
* Strong subject knowledge across Science
