The Employee Engagement Lead will be responsible for driving engagement with employees in the Diageo GB market business. About the role: The GB Employee Engagement Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of our employee engagement activity, developing our strategic approach to engagement and delivering brilliantly executed communication and events. The role-holder will take the lead responsibility for creating an inspiring, focused and impactful culture, with highly engaged and motivated employees who understand and buy into the vision for the business. The role requires outstanding critical thinking, creative ideas, and skillful management of team members and projects. Being a highly collaborative standout colleague who is comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously is also critical. Other core capabilities: Financial - Management of relevant budgets Market complexity - This role sits in the GB CR team but will involve close working with GB functions, global corporate relations and GB Executive Team. Role Responsibilities: Own the design, development and delivery of Employee Engagement strategy & plan in close collaboration with the GB Exec. Develop and implement a strategic EE comms plan throughout the year, including consistent comms and engagement platforms for the GB Exec and Managing Director. Drive year-round calendar of events and engagement with employees including town halls, brand events, digital communications and other methods of engaging and inspiring Diageo GB employees. Manage external agencies to develop content for employee engagement and deliver key events, maximising value from spend and impact of delivery. Ensure consistent and compelling messaging, ensuring that complex and technical business content is accessible, meaningful and easy to understand for Diageo’s diverse audiences. Plan and project management the delivery of inspirational and impactful total GB employee conferences. Proactively engage with CR colleagues in markets and global to search and spin new engagement ideas and to provide leadership, positioning GB as a best-in-class market for Employee Engagement. Be a proactive influencer, content creator and storyteller, living the GB values and culture and inspiring others to do the same. Experience / skills required: Strong critical thinking and planning skills. Good commercial business understanding Proven skill in persuading and engaging senior team members, with a solid background in employee engagement. Creative communicator capable of using all channels of communication to drive advocacy Event management and project management skills Proven experience operating within agile, cross-functional teams Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven track-record supporting the development and deployment of impactful, creative and progressive engagement campaigns Strong working knowledge of digital and social media to drive reach an impact Ability to identify and lead third parties, ensuring that we get the best out of our agency relationships Flexible Working Statement: Flexibility is key to our success.
