Salary: £31,319 – £36,429 per annum

Overview
We’re recruiting a Centre Manager with strong leadership, organisational and communication skills to lead our Manchester Rehoming Advice and behaviour unit. This role is centred on leading people, managing the high‑street centre, ensuring the highest welfare standards, and shaping the future of the centre for pets and clients.
Key Responsibilities
As Centre Manager, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of the centre – pets, people, facilities, compliance and finances. Working closely with your Assistant Managers, you’ll inspire and empower the team, embed a culture of continuous improvement and ensure the highest welfare standards. You will:
Lead the high‑performing team and drive performance
Ensure operational excellence, compliance and financial accountability
Represent the centre in community and client interactions
Develop and implement strategies to meet organisational goals
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Significant experience motivating, leading and developing high‑performing teams in an animal welfare setting
Strong knowledge of animal welfare and operational excellence in similar environments
Ability to embrace and manage change aligned to organisational objectives
Financial awareness and numeracy
Proven experience working constructively and collaboratively with cross‑team colleagues
Excellent interpersonal, consultative and communication skills
Commercial acumen: controlling costs while delivering high service levels
Demonstrated understanding and application of Blue Cross values
Full driving licence
