About the Role: The client is seeking a permanent ambulatory Equine Veterinary Surgeon to deliver high-quality care to a diverse performance-horse caseload. The role suits a veterinary surgeon with 2–4 years of equine experience who is confident in core ambulatory skills and committed to continued clinical and professional development. The post holder will manage cases primarily on yard, collaborate with colleagues when appropriate, and provide an excellent out-of-hours service as part of a shared rota. The successful candidate will build respectful client relationships across racing, competition, and leisure sectors. They will communicate clearly and professionally, demonstrate sound judgment under pressure, and represent the practice positively to existing and prospective clients. Contribution to the team includes supporting interns and less experienced vets, engaging in case discussions, and fostering a positive learning culture. The role requires timely completion of billing, insurance forms, purchase examinations, and close work with the financial administrator to ensure appropriate account management. Candidates must hold a Degree in Veterinary Medicine, RCVS membership, and an understanding of professional equestrian and competition environments.
