Are you an experienced Supplier Manager eager to become part of one of the most engaging and rapidly growing teams in Aviva?
This role is perfect for someone with a proven track record in managing supplier relationships, drafting and managing contracts, and ensuring performance for critical suppliers in a regulated environment, preferably within Financial Services. While the focus of the role will be on IT, direct experience in IT contracts is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
Our team is dedicated to delivering value through effective supplier relationships, third-party risk management, and comprehensive oversight. This involves managing contracts (including amendments) and overall relationships with suppliers to mitigate risks, enhance performance, ensure contractual governance, and maximize commercial and business value.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team committed to providing excellence in Supplier Management across Aviva.
A bit about the job:
The purpose of the role is to manage suppliers in line with best practices, policies, and standards, supporting colleagues in IT. You’ll apply appropriate commercial, contractual, and relationship management skills, tools, and techniques to ensure supplier relationships meet and exceed contractual obligations.
You will drive performance by effectively utilizing contractual levers, mitigating risks, and collaborating with IT. You will ensure compliance with contractual obligations while identifying and capitalizing on additional opportunities. You will lead negotiations, including contract amendments and work order approvals.
You will work closely with IT and procurement teams to manage contracts, support disputes, breaches, and exits, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations by both Aviva and suppliers.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Strong experience in Supplier Management for complex and critical agreements, with proven contract and commercial management skills.
Stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building strong internal and supplier relationships at all levels.
Negotiation skills, demonstrating experience in leading negotiations, supporting dispute resolution, and managing negotiations effectively.
We seek a customer champion who always considers the customer when making decisions and encourages others to do the same.
