About The Role
As a Vehicle Technician in one of our workshops, you’ll mostly be repairing and maintaining our fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy to both VOSA and partnership standards. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians who will help you succeed and excel in your role. You will also have opportunities to develop your knowledge and progress your career.
At a Glance
 * Salary: Up to £44,200 per year plus overtime.
 * Evening premium: £3 per hour for work between 18:00–22:00 starting 5th October 2025.
 * Working hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week (2‑week rota, 1 in 2 Saturdays).
 * Schedule: Week 1: Monday‑Friday 06:00‑14:00; Week 2: Monday‑Friday 13:30‑21:30.
 * Contract type: Permanent.
 * Location: Fenny Lock (NDC).
What you'll be doing
As a Technician within the team, you’ll be working on our large HGV lorries. Your duties include: ensuring all vehicles are maintained to a safe and roadworthy standard to both VOSA and partnership requirements; completing relevant sections of inspections, services and defect sheets in compliance with O'Licence obligations; managing spares requests and time books daily; applying best practice and current commercial vehicle repair techniques to deliver high quality repairs cost‑effectively and using spare parts appropriately.

Essential Experience & Qualifications
 * City & Guilds Level 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent.
 * Full UK manual driving licence.
 * Proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs.
 * Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness.
Desirable Skills
 * IRTEC certification.
 * LGV C+E driving licence.
