Job Description:
Seeking experienced tutors with expertise in Special Educational Needs (SEN). Part-time roles of 10-15 hours weekly, with some roles starting from 1 hour per week. Responsibilities include delivering tuition in core subjects and occasionally other subjects like business studies or languages. Tuition can be in person (home, library, community centre) or online for Local Authorities and Schools.
Job Duties:
1. Provide tailored educational support to students with SEN, creating your own materials and lesson plans.
2. Complete session reports after each session on our virtual platform, which are reviewed by the consultant and client, and are essential for monitoring progress and processing payments.
3. Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly, demonstrating flexibility and patience.
4. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and consultants, reporting any challenges to ensure support and safeguarding.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:
* Degree in Education, Special Education, or related field
* At least 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience
* Strong knowledge of the UK education system
* Ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual needs
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:
* Part-time hours, starting from 1 hour per week
* Temporary positions, potentially lasting until a student gains a school placement or over multiple academic years
* Flexible scheduling based on mutual availability, with some requests for specific times/days
Requirements for Success:
* Microsoft Teams interview
* DBS check (application support provided, cost borne by applicant)
* 10-year career history
* References covering the past 5 years
* Proof of right to work and address
* Safeguarding training (training provided)
* Proof of name change and overseas criminal clearance if applicable
* Professional photograph for profile
