Recycling Engagement Officer
We are looking to recruit a Recycling Engagement Officer to help drive a food waste participation campaign in Wokingham Borough. The role will be for 3 months between October and December with the potential to extend this if the campaign proves to be successful. The Recycling Engagement Officer will be working across the borough, knocking on doors and carrying out a short survey with residents, speaking to residents about their recycling habits and promoting and educating waste minimisation and recycling in low participation areas. It will also involve carrying out surveys of bin stores, identifying the types of bins that are currently in place and the requirements to support Wokingham meeting it’s Simpler Recycling requirements.
A driving licence is required for this role.
There will be some later shifts involved working 11:00 until 19:00.
The role will require candidates to be confident speaking to people, to be comfortable using Excel and Outlook.
