Energetic, bubbly and educated nanny-governess, to work in a rota nanny position in central London. 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. 24hr for 14 days. Excellent accommodation provided when on duty. When off rota you should live within short commute of London.
Energetic, fun nanny with previous experience working for UHNW families, travelling and working within a team of staff. You must be able to show longevity in your previous recent nanny / governess jobs.
Being flexible to accommodate the family when plans change last minute is Essential.
Nanny-governess will support the 6 yr old child with her homework after school and also keep her up learning during school holidays (but plenty of time off and play).
Child is in the English school system.
Family spends 40-50% of the year in London. Approx 1/3 of the year at their home in Spain and they also go away on holidays.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all nanny duties, this includes cooking, keeping child's bedroom clean and tidy, toys and books clean, laundry for the child, planning appropriate activities and outings. In the UK and when overseas.
The family's plans can change and the 2 rota nannies will arrange together if they need to change their work day to ensure that the family always has nanny cover.
Nanny should have the right blend and balance of warm, caring, nurturing and also able to set appropriate boundaries for the little girl. She is bright and enjoys having a nanny who enjoys working with her, getting involved in her play, answering her questions, being pro-active in her care and general education and upbringing.
The family is particularly keen to find a nanny who will help her explore the outdoors and nature and to learn outdoor pursuits and activities. Someone who is themselves 'outdoorsy' would be preferred. A Norland or Chiltern nanny would be well received.
The child has a little pet dog in London, and nanny should take the little dog for a mid morning walk when in London, while the child is at school.
Nanny should like animals, as they have more dogs, horse and rabbits.
There is frequent travel in this role, particularly to home Spain, but also outside of Europe, although it is primarily London based. Parents are European and someone fluent in English and either German, Spanish, Italian or French would be helpful.
Flexibility is key and vital. Must be genuinely willing to co-ordinate with family and be happy to change plans at short notice.
Putting the family first at all times. Also being a team player and promoting the continued cohesive and positive atmosphere within the staff team, so that everything works well and everyone is happy.
Full nanny duties, but also be the educator/ governess and set up fun and educational activities and games to stimulate child. Be happy to get down and play at floor level for extended periods of time. Must be energetic, engaging and patient.
A nanny / nanny-educator with recent experience of preparing a child for the UK 7+ exams would be very helpful.
When the child is at school and you have completed all child-related duties, you may be offered to help out with other tasks relating to the smooth running of this cohesive and supportive multi-staffed household.
They are looking for someone with a team-player and extremely flexible attitude who enjoys helping as part of a team. The household staff team have been working together for some years, and are happy working for the principals and with each other. It is a good environment and they wish to keep it that way by finding the next like-minded nanny to join their household.
A large salary is offered, so someone who does not consider themselves too important to help the household with occasional PA tasks or occasional errands would be appreciated and secure themselves a truly long term position.
When on rota you are either working with the child, making preparations related to the child, or otherwise making yourself available to the other members of the staff team. Team work is important and a team attitude.
The start date is May or June, or you could start immediately, if that suits you.
