Workflow Colour Management Specialist
Location: North East England (some working from home)
Salary: Highly competitive, as per experience
Responsibilities
* Calibrate digital and lithographic presses from scratch using the G7 method.
* Print and scan colour targets, create device‑link profiles, and upload them to the colour server to populate or create a queue.
* Drive Esko Automation Engine by manipulating XML, JSON and data from APIs and web services to automate workflow from artwork receipt to print‑ready files.
* Remove touch points and successfully automate systems to ensure printed output matches target results.
* Maintain and troubleshoot large‑format digital rips (e.g., Caldera, Harlequin) and plate curves/linearisation.
* Apply knowledge of ISO 12647, ISO 2846 and ISO 3664 in all aspects of colour management.
Qualifications
* Full understanding of ISO 12647, ISO 2846 and ISO 3664.
* Experience with XML and JSON, and ability to manipulate data from other systems’ APIs and web services.
* Hands‑on experience with Esko Automation Engine and large‑format digital rips such as Caldera and Harlequin.
* Proficiency in calibrating digital and lithographic presses using the G7 method.
* Ability to create and upload device‑link profiles to colour servers.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced print environment.
