We are looking for a Senior Design Manager to join our Infrastructure team in Peterborough.
What you'll do:
1. Ensure by working with the Lead Planner, that all design deliverables are integrated within the construction programme.
2. Manage the delivery of design in accordance with the design management plan and design brief, including client requirements, cost, programme, best practice design standards, design responsibilities, BIM strategy and contract agreement.
3. Chair Design team meetings and other design orientated meetings.
4. Ensure clear record keeping and monitoring of design process/programme/deliverables.
5. Ensure the scope of solution is clearly defined and agreed by all parties, design complies with Client brief, contract, current legislation, Development Consent Order, building regulations, CDM and relevant technical requirements.
What you'll bring to the role:
6. Lead and manage the design delivery for Cambridge Relocation Project.
7. Maintain compliance with the DCO, design codes and all ES commitments.
8. Develop best for task team from the partner organisations to deliver the design.
9. Maintain a consistent quality of engineering output and ensure that all design is delivered on a right first-time philosophy, to the correct standards and specifications.
10. Produce design deliverables suitable for the end-user, with consideration of health & safety, the environment, construction, procurement, the customer.
