Job Title: Interim Financial Consultant – M&A and Integration Support
Location: Midlands (Hybrid working available)
Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
Marks Sattin is supporting a leading Professional Services firm in the Midlands who are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Consultant to support a strategic transaction and post-merger integration. This role will play a critical part in evaluating acquisition targets, structuring cross-border deals, and aligning financial systems post-transaction.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Conduct financial due diligence on potential acquisition targets.
* Assess financial viability and strategic fit.
* Identify financial and currency risks across jurisdictions.
* Build scenario models to evaluate expansion strategies and outcomes.
Deal Execution Phase:
* Structure transactions including cross-border M&A, joint ventures, and financing arrangements.
* Advise on funding strategies (debt, equity, internal cash).
* Support international tax planning and deal structuring.
* Lead post-merger integration of financial systems, controls, and reporting frameworks.
* Collaborate with operations to align financial processes and support change management.
* Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor integration success.
* Harmonise ERP and finance systems across geographies.
To be considered you will have the below profile:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified).
* Proven experience in M&A, financial modelling, and post-deal integration.
* Experience working within the Professional Services or Legal Services industry.
* Strong understanding of international finance, tax, and compliance.
* Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑cultural communication skills.
