About the role
We're looking for a forward-thinking DevOps Engineer to play a key role in evolving and enhancing our Azure-based data and application platforms. Joining a collaborative, innovativedata platformteam, you’ll help shape how we build, deploy, and optimise modern cloud-based services that support analytics, machine learning, and application delivery across the organisation.

What you will be responsible for
In this role, you’ll help drive a culture of automation, reliability, and continuous improvement across our DevOps practices. You will:
1. Design and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines, including reusable templates for data and ML workloads.
2. Implement ML Ops workflows for deploying, monitoring, and retraining models on Azure Databricks.
3. Integrate CI/CD into applications built in Python, C#, and JavaScript.
4. Contribute to application-level development and deployment processes.
5. Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
6. Build PowerShell automation modules to eliminate manual tasks.
7. Manage secrets, environment variables, and secure access across environments.
8. Monitor system health and deployment performance using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
Additional Requirements
9. Hybrid working with occasional on-site collaboration days.
10. Participation in an on-call or out-of-hours rotamaybe required depending on operational needs.
11. Opportunity to work with specialist platforms including Databricks, Azure ML, and enterprise-scale data tools.
What you’ll bring to the role
Essential
12. Strong experience with Azure DevOps, including pipeline and template development.
13. Hands-on experience with ML Ops practices and tools such as Databricks orMLflow.
14. Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI, and scripting for automation.
15. Experience supporting application development in Python, C#, and JavaScript.
16. Knowledge of Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and CI/CD best practice.
17. Azure certification (e.g., AZ-400 or DP-100).
Desirable
18. Experience with Azure Data Factory, Event Hubs, and Key Vault.
19. Knowledge of agile ways of working and DevOps culture.
