We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Tester to join a well-established independent garage in Letchworth Garden City. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to work in a friendly, efficient environment where quality and customer satisfaction are prioritised. The successful individual will be responsible for carrying out MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, with the opportunity to contribute to a dedicated team.
Benefits:
1. Competitive basic salary of up to £36,000 per annum, with an OTE of £40,000 including bonuses
2. No weekend work, Monday to Friday hours from 8:30am to 6:00pm
3. Monthly performance bonus, with realistic earning potential

MOT Tester Duties:
8. Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles in accordance with DVSA regulations
9. Ensure all tests are performed accurately, efficiently, and to high standards
10. Support the workshop team with light technician work and diagnostics (desirable but not essential)
11. Maintain safe testing procedures and a clean, organised workspace
12. Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to provide excellent service
Requirements:
13. Fully qualified DVSA Class 4 MOT Tester with an active licence
14. Full clean UK driving licence
15. Honest, reliable, and meticulous approach to work
16. Strong communication skills, confident in engaging with customers and the team
17. Familiarity with diagnostic equipment is desirable
18. Willingness to help with technician tasks if needed
19. Own hand tools are beneficial, but not essential
20. Experience in a fast-fit or service environment is advantageous
