Role Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Banqueting Chef to lead and support the preparation and delivery of high-quality banqueting and event catering. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and cook a wide range of dishes for banquets, weddings, conferences, and special events, ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Manage kitchen operations during banqueting events, coordinating with the culinary and service teams to ensure smooth service delivery. Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness in line with industry regulations and hotel policies. Support menu development and contribute creative ideas to enhance the banqueting offering. Ensure efficient stock control and minimise food waste through careful planning and portion control. Train, mentor, and support junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment. Collaborate with the events and front-of-house teams to meet client requirements and exceed guest expectations. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience as a chef within banqueting, events catering, or large-scale hospitality operations. Relevant culinary qualifications such as a City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent. Strong knowledge of food hygiene standards (e.g., Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate) and safe working practices. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and event requirements. Excellent communication and team leadership skills. Passion for delivering exceptional food quality and presentation. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required by event schedules.
