Academics are partnering with a supportive SEN and alternative provision school in Huddersfield to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Mentor. Your role as a Behaviour Mentor will help students develop confidence, self-regulation, and engagement with learning.
Your Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with social, emotional, or behavioural needs.
* Deliver interventions that promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
* Build strong relationships to boost motivation and self-esteem.
* Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents to ensure consistent support.
* Track progress and provide feedback to senior staff.
Who we're looking for from a Behaviour Mentor:
* Experience supporting young people with SEMH or behavioural challenges.
* Calm, confident, and empathetic in challenging situations.
* Strong communication, de-escalation, and mentoring skills.
* Backgrounds in youth work, education, or coaching are a plus.
