Hybrid working:
The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your Role:
1. Deliver scalable, reliable applications that meet business and client objectives from concept through to production
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective and user-focused solutions
3. Build and maintain high-quality, sustainable code that supports long-term value and reuse
4. Own delivery across the full development lifecycle, ensuring quality and timely outcomes
5. Identify and implement improvements to enhance performance, resilience, and user experience
6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure stability and continuity in production environments
7. Promote best practices in design, quality, and security to enable robust and future-ready solutions
8. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and team capability building
9. Demonstrate adaptability and ongoing learning, including awareness of emerging engineering practices and AI-enabled delivery approaches
Your Skills:
10. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
11. Proven experience as a Java Developer or similar role
12. Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or above preferred)
13. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
14. Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Hibernate
15. Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
16. Experience with RESTful services and API development
17. Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
18. Understanding of version control systems such as Git
19. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Good to have Skills:
20. Exposure to microservices or distributed system design
21. Familiarity with cloud-based development environments
22. Awareness of DevOps practices and continuous delivery approaches
23. Understanding of application performance tuning and secure coding principles
24. Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments
25. Interest in AI-assisted development and emerging engineering trends
