TP Tutors are proud to be working in partnership with South Tyneside Virtual School and schools across the South Tyneside area. We are seeking skilled and confident tutors to deliver Functional Skills in Maths and English, as well as GCSE support, to children and young people who have experienced significant disruption to their education. Many of these learners may be educated other than at school (EOTAS), Looked After Children (LAC), or pupils with SEMH or SEND needs, and may currently be unable to access mainstream schooling or at risk of exclusion. Tutors will play a vital role in helping pupils re-engage with learning, build confidence, and make meaningful academic progress through high-quality, individualised tuition. Lessons should be engaging, adaptive, and aligned with each pupil’s learning plan and educational goals. This role may include working outside a traditional classroom setting, such as in the home, libraries, community venues, or other suitable locations. Tutors should be flexible, empathetic, and able to create a positive and supportive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of each learner. Tutor Requirements: Professional teaching qualifications are preferred (UK QTS). Experience of working with children with SEND/SEMH needs. 2 professional references that cover a 24 month of employment from a 10 year career history.
