We are currently recruiting for Reinstatement Operative to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across Area, Region. About the Role
As a Reinstatement Operative, you will:
1. Maintain great customer service and communication
2. Adhere to company absence reporting procedure
3. Update and complete site documentation using electronic tablet
4. Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work.
5. Carry out site specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team member and site supervisor
6. Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
7. Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures
8. Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
9. Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks
10. Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
11. Ensure on and off sites are live to avoid any penalties with highways permits
12. Carry out backfill and reinstatement works in the highway, on private property and premises or as instructed.
13. Work within an operational team as and when required and instructed to do so
14. Ensure materials are used economically and that unused materials are returned to stores
15. Undertake all duties as skilled, in a reliable, flexible constructive manner
16. Wear and maintain in good condition any Personal Protective Equipment provided for your protection and bring to your supervisor’s attention any defects or shortcomings with the equipment.
17. Deliver high-quality work that meets or exceeds regulatory requirements
18. Repair and reinstate surfaces after repairs and maintenance.
19. Be able to read and understand Drainage plans
20. Record photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed
21. Troubleshoot issues related to drainage systems and provide effective solutions
Experience and Qualifications (Desirable but not essential unless stated as required)
1. Full UK driving license (Required)
2. Up to date driver CPC and Digi Tacho
3. NPORS
4. Banksman
5. Manual Handling
6. Emergency First Aid
7. NRSWA
8. EUSR National Water Hygiene
9. Asbestos Awareness
10. Slinger and Signaller
11. Abrasive Wheels
12. Calm Water
13. EUSR Safe Dig – Cat & Genny
14. EUSR Water SHEA
15. Face Fit Tested – FFP3
16. Dumper Wheeled Forward Tipping
17. EUSR Shuttering & Shoring – Deep Excavation
18. Excavator Above 10 Ton – Tracked
19. Excavator Below 10 Ton – Tracked
20. NRSWA – Operative Units (LA,01-06)
21. Sygma Solutions
22. Confined Spaces (Waste)
23. SSSTS or SMSTS
24. Excavator used as Crane Lifting Ops
25. Experience with the use of PMMA (Polymer Modified Mastic Asphalt Units)
Full training in the above will be provided if not already obtained.
