We are looking to appoint a new Specialty Doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. You will join a team working closely alongside our Consultants and otherSpecialty Doctors.The post comprises 10 programmed activities (PAs), which could be modified for a candidate preferring towork 10 PAs or less than full time.
Main duties of the job
* Day to day running of the labour ward, obstetric wards andgynaecology wards.
* Regular gynaecology theatre sessions with the teamconsultant
* Running of the ante-natal and gynaecological clinics toparticipate in the department's teaching, audit, andeducational activities
* Daily ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient management ofpatients, operating lists and on call.

Qualifications/ Training
* Shall have full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council.
* MRCOG part 1 or qualification of an equivalent level
* MRCOG part 2

* Shall have completed at least four years' full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty; or Shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
* Demonstrate an interest in, commitment to and have broad experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
* Ability to offer and be accountable for full and independent expert diagnostic opinion
* Can evidence leading on patient safety issues and achieving a change in practice
