What we’re looking for
You’ll:
* Deliver safe, effective clinical pharmacy services within your allocated area
* Take part in the pharmacist rota, including on‑call duties
* Provide expert medicines advice across primary and secondary care
* Promote evidence‑based, cost‑effective use of medicines
* Support and train other pharmacy team members
* Get involved in practice development and research
Main duties of the job
* Provide a safe and effective clinical pharmacy service to allocated clinical area
* Undertake professional clinical pharmacist duties as per rota, including on‑call provision
* Provide pharmaceutical advice and support within both primary and secondary care services as required
* Develop, encourage and promote evidence‑based, cost effective use of medicines
* Assist in providing clinical training and supervision of other pharmacy staff
* Be involved in the development and delivery of practice research

Person specification
Essential criteria
* MPharm degree or equivalent
* Registered as a pharmacist with the GPhC
* Knowledge of clinical pharmacy and therapeutics
* Knowledge of electronic and manual information sources
* Experience of working with direct patient contact (managed sector or community pharmacy)
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Decision making and problem solving skills
* Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team
* Computer literate
* Willingness to participate in on‑call out of hours duty roster and bilingual service where necessary
Desirable criteria
* Postgraduate MSc/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent qualification
* Training qualification
* Practicing member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
* Experience of patient‑orientated medicines systems
* Organisational ability
* Welsh speaking (preferred)

* Interested in general public holiday and weekend pharmacy service provision
* Willingness to work in bilingual areas and participate in on‑call duties
